Central to this partnership is the deployment of Magaldi’s world-famous Superbelt® technology. The Superbelt® is a steel conveyor designed for extremely hot materials, heavy impact, and harsh environments. Unlike traditional vibrating conveyors or standard rubber belts, it features a unique multi-link steel design.
Key advantages of the Superbelt® include:
- High-Temperature Resistance: Easily moves materials up to 1,100°C.
- No Spillage or Jamming: Its smooth, non-vibrating movement avoids material build-up.
- Maximum Plant Safety: Drastically reduces airborne dust and cuts down ambient noise.
- High Energy Efficiency: designed to transport material without sliding friction with the belt. The overall energy required for conveyance is reduced in comparison with traditional systems (about one-fifth of that of vibratory conveyors) as well as lower operating costs.
- Extreme Reliability: The belt damage-tolerant design is based on a multi-link concept. The double-wire mesh ensures redundancy, little to no maintenance, and trouble-free continuous operation, eliminating any risk of sudden failure. Even if the mesh becomes severely damaged, the conveyor will keep running till the scheduled maintenance.

Looking to the future of industrial sustainability, Magaldi is also introducing in the US its newest exclusive product: the MGTES (Magaldi Green Thermal Energy Storage) system. This innovative technology uses a fluidized bed of silica sand to store high-temperature thermal energy from the grid. The MGTES system allows heavy industries to store energy and release it with ultra-high efficiency in form of steam, when needed. This brand-new solution will help US industrial companies navigate the changes in power supply for medium-high temperature steam.
