Industrial-scale MGTES plant inauguration ceremony

Inauguration of the First Industrial-Scale MGTES Plant

Pioneering Thermal Energy Storage for a Decarbonized Future

Welcome to the Future of Clean Industrial Heat

Magaldi is proud to host the inauguration of the first industrial-scale MGTES (Magaldi Green Thermal Energy Storage) plant, taking place at our manufacturing facility in Buccino (SA) on September 8th, 2025.

This exclusive event will bring together institutional leaders, industrial innovators, and research pioneers in the energy sector to witness a breakthrough in long-duration thermal energy storage and green heat generation.

The industrial-scale MGTES plant marks a critical milestone in the roadmap toward a net-zero economy, providing a replicable model for electrifying process heat in hard-to-abate industrial sectors.

Join us to explore how innovation, sustainability, and Italian engineering are powering the energy transition!

Why This Event Matters

🔋 INNOVATION IN ENERGY STORAGE & CLEAN HEAT
MGTES addresses one of the hardest challenges in energy transition: replacing fossil fuels used in industrial heat processes. By converting renewable electricity into dispatchable thermal energy, it delivers clean steam on demand—essential for sectors where electrifying heat has been elusive.

🌍 A SCALABLE, CIRCULAR SOLUTION
Using abundant, circular materials like sand and steel, MGTES is safe, cost-effective, and fully circualr at end-of-life.

🏭 FROM PILOT TO INDUSTRY
This plant moves MGTES from pilot scale to real-world application, proving its readiness for large-scale deployment in energy-intensive sectors.

About the MGTES Technology

Magaldi Green Thermal Energy Storage (MGTES) is a patented thermal energy storage solution based on a fluidized bed of sand. It stores electricity – sourced from renewables or the grid - in the form of high-temperature heat and releases it on demand as clean steam.
Designed to replace fossil fuels used in industrial heat generation, MGTES helps decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors such as food & beverage, pulp & paper, chemicals & pharmaceuticals, mining, etc..

This first industrial-scale plant proves the technology's maturity, scalability, and its potential in the path to net zero.
