Our Service team has just hit another milestone at Feralpi Stahl in Riesa (Germany). They’ve successfully installed and commissioned two Superbelt® conveyors designed for scrap transportation.
The project was challenging, but thanks to the team's unwavering resilience and dedication, we achieved our objectives within the agreed timeframe, leaving our customer highly satisfied.
The newly installed Superbelt® conveyors play a crucial role in the scrap recycling plant. The first conveyor efficiently handles up to 150 t/h of light scrap from two shears, seamlessly transporting it uphill until it reaches the cleaning system. At the discharge point, the second Superbelt® conveyor, equipped with a weighing frame to track the processed scrap's quantity, effectively conveys the material from a magnetic drum and loads it into two railway wagons.
This is another win for our team, another testament to the Magaldi way. But most importantly, it's another step forward for our valued customer, Feralpi Stahl, on their journey towards operational excellence.
However, this is not the end. The ambitious goal is to reach a fully automated process for charging the EAF, further optimizing efficiency and productivity.
