Combining both experiences in Power and Foundry industries, Magaldi developed the MCC – Magaldi Casting Cooler.

The MCC is a Magaldi Superbelt conveyor with the addition of a tunnel for forced air cooling of the castings during transportation.

Belt speed and cooling air flow are PLC controlled, in order to optimise cooling time and conveying rates.

Belt speed is controlled by linking the signal of the molding line production rate to the frequency converter that controls the speed of the belt by means of an encoder located positioned on the tail shaft.

Upon request, a water spraying system can be installed to enhance the cooling performance.
