Magaldi solution for

The Magaldi MRS® is a new process concept to mechanically handle, in a dry way, the rejects from coal mills. Rejects are a mixture of different materials (pyrites, rocks, tramp metals, etc.) with pulverized coal, requiring a reliable and safe removal system.

The rejects discharged from coal mills are collected in transfer tanks for temporary storage. The material is extracted from the transfer tanks by either short MRS® conveyors or vibrating feeders and then dosed onto the main MRS® conveyor, which collects the rejects produced by all coal mills. Downstream of the main MRS® conveyor, the rejects can be discharged onto a movable container or into a storage silo.

The Magaldi MRS® overcomes the limitations of conventional conveyors thanks to the “open execution” design and the dependable Magaldi Superbelt® technology. The Magaldi MRS® easily accommodates the increased rejects and coal rate, to be removed during mill trip or sudden shutdown without creating any fire or explosion hazard.
